The Breeze Inn won BOTH awards at the Northland Newborn Foundation-Savor Du Nord 2022, The Spotlight Award And People's Choice Award (chef award) for the favorite dish served went to the Breeze Inn for our delicious Juicy Lucy sliders!
It took a very special, hardworking, dedicated team to make this come together. First, thank you to Nate Alvar & Jon Benson for the invitation and opportunity to be part of such an amazing, community fundraiser for northland babies and families. Keeping 100% of all money raised right here in our beautiful area we all call home. Thank you and a huge shout out to The Breeze Inn staff for making 250 hand pattied mini juicy lucy's for the event. Hey staff, we were the talk of the night! Thank you for all you do, day after day. Next, Chef James from The Breeze, your belief in this restaurant and the food you prepare just soared to another level. We all saw it. You rocked what you believe in! Upper Lakes Foods executive culinary team (Rich, Craig, Mark & Lynn), this took a lot of thoughtfulness, trial runs and timing to do what we asked of you to make the perfect juicy lucy off site. Changing the plan from grilling them inside of the event to outside in the trailer last minute made this execution flawless. THANK YOU for always being there for The Breeze Inn! Lastly, thank you Jon from Breakthru Bev, you nailed it with the Maple Pecan Old Fashioned that you created and we are very proud to serve it at The Breeze.
